For one of our clients in the Insurance segment, we are searching for a Database Administrator. Responsibilities migration related activities managing critical operations, such as backup strategies (relating to AWS Cloud, not just on-premise environments) Monitor and do the housekeeping for app servers Manage resource of system Support any deployment documentation Support patching processes Monitoring / performance analysis / Trouble shooting / Support in any application issues that has DB impact, etc. Work hours are 12.00 pm-9.30 pm IST Hybrid role: work from office is required 2-3 days per week Skills Must have Cloud & AWS: AWS RDS (MySQL) Must Have AWS CloudWatch Must Have AWS Redshift Must Have (or similar) Performance Optimization: Query pattern analysis Must Have Schema design optimization Must Have Indexing strategies Must Have Resolution of performance bottlenecks Must Have Monitoring & Alerting Tools: AWS CloudWatch Must Have Database Performance Monitoring solutions Must Have SQL Sentry, xMatters, SolarWinds Acceptable with similar Database Platforms: Amazon RDS (MySQL) Must Have Microsoft SQL Server (Physical/VM) Acceptable with similar Azure SQL Database (PaaS/Serverless) Acceptable with similar Amazon Redshift Acceptable with similar Nice to have ETL & Data Pipeline Development: Data pipeline development ETL tools Other Nice to Have: Snowflake Python (scripting & automation) VMware Scripting Backup experience Other Languages English: C1 Advanced Seniority Senior
