We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Data Scientist.

In this role, you will:

• Recognising data as an asset to HSBC by managing Data Risk and certifying that we are compliant with our Data standards and policies.
• Using analytics and data science to unlock the value of our data. Implementing and maintaining our Data Technologies.
• Data and Analytics Professionals are geographically dispersed and aligned to the Global Businesses / Global Functions or Regions. Operation involves aggregations, deliver BI and reporting solutions by using tools such as Qlik, Tableau, PowerBI and Looker.
• Drive the analysis and development of transaction screening tuning function in line with group sanctions screening requirements & policies.
• Understand the end-to-end operating model, including the interaction of dependent systems and maintain SOPs to effectively manage the tuning process across all LOB’s & products (Payments/Trade/Securities).
• Enable the Line management with respective initiatives running for Regional & Global hit rates.
• Manage recording and report MI of initiatives, certifying KPI & KRI are reflected accurately in all reports.

To be successful you will:

• Strong experience in data science or related roles, with a focus on Machine Learning. 
• Hands on knowledge of Machine Learning concepts and development codes.
• Experience with Google Cloud platform and cloud-based technologies. (preferred).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
• Proven ability to develop subject matter expertise quickly and ability to convert complex analysis outcome into a non-technical, business friendly presentation.
• Working experience on Jira and confluence.
• Proven track record of delivering/ deploying complex ML model in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
