Aladdin Data– Datamanages the continuous changes and development of Aladdin’s enterprise analytics data assets and production solutions andis responsible forthe implementation of data and analytics solutions for BlackRock businesses and Aladdin clients. 

TheAladdin Dataplatforms and services are designed to deliverindustry leading investment data and risk analytics contentto the Aladdin community, including BlackRock as the largest client. The primary users includeinvestors, risk managers, compliance officials, investmentoperationsand technology teams for broader organization applications. We are proud to supplythe dataproducts andsolutions tomeetthe evolving needs ofportfoliomanagement,risk and performance analysis, investment compliance,regulatory reporting, client reporting and beyond.

OurData Implementationteamofdata solutionsspecialistscoversend-to-end Aladdin data flowsfrom vendor and client inputdata setstosecurity,portfolio,benchmark,and financialanalytics outputdatafor newand expandingAladdinclients.The team works directly with clients andAladdinClient Transformation specialiststounderstand client dependencies, businessobjectivesand custom use cases to ensure Aladdin’s data and analytics are effectivelyenhanced,deployed,and adopted acrosseachfunction andorganization.

Our clientscoverglobal, multi-asset managersor ownersallocatingacross fixed income, equity, private markets, and derivatives. The teamprovides the data specialities across asset classes and data domains for the successful whole-portfolio modelling. Successful Aladdin data implementation specialists develop and excel in manycross-functional skills including client communication, project management, business analysisas well ashands-on data analysisandtechnology system configuration.Innovation is at the core of Aladdin’sculture,and the team is continuously solutioningforourclients and re-engineering our processes.

RoleDescription: 

The team islooking for experienced investment dataspecialiststoenhance and expand our capabilities tocapture thegrowthopportunities withastrong businesspipeline.Thesuccessful candidateswill directlyberesponsibleforone or multipleprojects,across alldatadomains andcapabilities.

Responsibilitiesinclude:

• Driveclient engagement,scope of workreview, requirementscollection and project planningfor the data management workstreamofnew Aladdinimplementations

  
  

• Managedataworkstreamprogressand communicationswith clients and partners toensuresuccessful deliveryofcritical milestones along the projectplan.

  
  

• Collaborate with clientinvestment,technology,and data professionals toensure alignment and clarity of datascope, mapping, normalization,andimplementationapproaches.

  
  

• Educate and guide clients on Aladdin data conventions and target state data management workflows inclusive of on-site training for client data teams.

  
  

• Use standard interfaces and configurable elementstofacilitatetheonboarding of client data from clients directly and/or third-party data providers.

  
  

• Partner with front-officeand investment processpracticeleads toconfigureinvestmentportfolio structure,benchmarkassignmentsandestablishproper risk analytics deliverables.

  
  

• Managesystematicdatareconciliation andreviews anddrivetheresolution of issues with internaldataowners, externalvendorsand/orthedevelopment ofsolutionswith clients andpartners.

  
  

• Partner withAnalytics Stewards to ensurevaluation andriskanalyticsresultsare comprehensiveand up tomarket andmodellingstandard.

  
  

• Manageclient requirements,providecriticalbusiness,and technical analysis to development partners indata stewards,production solutions and engineeringfunctionsfor newdataand solutionsdevelopment.Provide validation anddirectly managetheclient UAT.

  
  

• Creatededicated client documentation with standard templatesandpartner with Data Operations to transition new clients intoproduction support.

  
  

Qualificationsand skillsets:

We are looking forquick learners,independent thinkerswithnew perspectives to challenge the way weoperateandhelpprototypenew solutionswe canultimately deployto a standard implementation playbook. Individualswithstrong technical and analytical interests and skills would find the data implementation practice best in supporting their continuous developmentsthroughtheownership of criticalclientproject elements as well asorganizationalinitiatives to constantly evolvethe platform and best-practice,leveragingdata and technology.  

• Bachelor’s Degree isrequired, with preference to business,technology,or engineeringfocus.

  
  

• 7+years of experienceeitherasan investment/data technologyimplementation specialistorwith directrelevantuser,development,service,oroperationexperiences.

  
  

• Familiarity with investment data and analytics isrequired; Private markets or derivative specialities is a plus.

  
  

• Strongattention to details andfocus on high quality delivery.

  
  

• Comfortable working withclients andpartners at all levels of the business.

  
  

• Relentless desire for understanding how processes workandentrepreneurial drive to learn new skills and technologies.

  
  

• Initiate projects that help enhance the business workflow andimprove clientexperiences.

  
  

• Strongtrack recordof successfully handling and completing large and complex projects.Critical thinking and demonstratable experience using technology to solve problems at scale.

  
  

• Shown ability to workwellindependently oras part of a team in aninnovative, ambitious, and fast-paced environment, run multiple tasks, adapt to change, and work well under tight time restraints.

  
  

• Excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills

  
  

• Working experience withPython,SQL preferred. Knowledge of UNIX, PERL,Javais a plus.
