In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting FutureNow Centers, where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

As a Data Consultant specializing in Data Governance, you will design, implement, and maintain data governance and data management processes for clients. This role involves conducting stakeholder analysis, developing communication plans, and executing communications to deliver effective data governance solutions. Your primary responsibilities will include: * Design Data Governance Processes: Create and implement data governance processes, including metadata management repositories, to ensure data quality and compliance. * Develop Communication Plans: Conduct stakeholder analysis and develop communication plans to effectively engage clients and stakeholders in data governance initiatives. * Implement Data Quality Rules: Work with technical resources to implement data quality rules and automate monitoring and reporting to ensure data accuracy and integrity. * Facilitate Issue Resolution: Operate issue tracking processes and facilitate resolution with clients to ensure prompt and effective issue resolution. * Create Data Quality Reports: Design and create data quality reports and dashboards to provide insights and recommendations for data improvement.

Required technical and professional expertise

* Exposure to Data Governance Technologies: Foundational understanding of data governance technologies for data quality and metadata management, including design and implementation of data governance processes. * Experience Working with Metadata Management: Knowledge of creating and managing metadata management repositories to capture business and data quality rules. * Understanding of Data Quality Reporting: Familiarity with designing and creating data quality reports and dashboards to provide insights and recommendations for data improvement. * Exposure to Stakeholder Analysis: Experience conducting stakeholder analysis and developing communication plans to effectively engage clients and stakeholders in data governance initiatives. * Implementation of Data Quality Rules: Understanding of working with technical resources to implement data quality rules and automate monitoring and reporting.

Preferred technical and professional experience
