About the role
The Business Process Expert (BPE) supports Haleon’s Enterprise Transformation Programme, enabled through SAP S/4HANA, to design, govern and continuously improve end-to-end processes across Purchase Order (PO), B2B and Invoicing. Partnering closely with the Business Process Owner (BPO) and cross-functional teams, the role shapes the future process vision and roadmap, drives disciplined change delivery and ensures adoption so that committed benefits are realised and sustained.
Role Responsibilities
Partner with the BPO and functional/operating unit leaders to define the end-to-end PO, B2B & Invoicing process vision, roadmap and design principles aligned to programme objectives.
Lead discovery, fit-gap and design workshops to capture requirements, socialise options and drive timely decisions through governance forums.
Assess “as-is” processes to identify bottlenecks, duplication, control gaps and automation opportunities; document clear, user-centric “to-be” flows, roles and hand-offs.
Enable delivery readiness and adoption by partnering with Functional Leaders and Change/Training teams to assess impacts, create process documentation and support upskilling.
Embed performance management and controls by defining KPIs, monitoring adoption/outcomes and driving issue management and continuous improvement to realise and sustain benefits.
Manage transition phases with Business Continuity and operational teams to design interim operating states and plan sustainable cutover to future-state processes.
Build stakeholder alignment by tailoring communications, maintaining feedback loops and championing the end-to-end process vision in programme decision-making.
Why you?
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting, Business, Operations, Engineering or related discipline.
·15+ years of end-to-end process expertise across PO, B2B order-to-cash touchpoints and invoicing, including controls, hand-offs and service measures.
·Proven experience in global process design and governance within a transformation programme (e.g., SAP S/4HANA), from discovery through design sign-off.
·Strong process mapping and documentation capability (e.g., BPMN/Visio/Signavio) with ability to translate requirements into clear, user-centric “to-be” flows, controls and SOPs.
·Data-driven approach to process performance: define KPIs, analyse workflow pain points and drive continuous improvement actions.
·Experience working cross-functionally (Finance, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Commercial) to manage dependencies, risks and cutover readiness.
Preferred Qualifications:
·Professional qualification preferred (ACA/CA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA/MBA).
·Experience working in Consumer Health/FMCG and working across multiple operating units/geographies.
·Strong facilitation and stakeholder influencing skills; able to align senior leaders, drive decisions and resolve trade-offs.
·Change leadership mindset with experience partnering on training, communications and adoption plans to embed new processes.
·Structured problem solving and sound judgement; able to assess impacts across functions, manage risks and make informed recommendations.
·Familiarity with automation and continuous improvement methods/tools (e.g., Lean, workflow automation, analytics) to simplify and standardise processes.
