This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 1000000 - Rs 2000000 (ie INR 10-20 LPA) Min Experience: 3 years Location: Chennai JobType: full-time We are looking for a skilled Mechanical BIM Modeler to join a dynamic MEP BIM team, responsible for creating high-quality, coordinated 3D models for mechanical systems.
This role focuses on delivering accurate BIM models that support design, coordination, and construction documentation across both domestic and international projects.
You will play a key role in ensuring that mechanical designs are efficiently translated into detailed digital models, enabling seamless collaboration across disciplines.
As part of a collaborative environment, you will work closely with electrical, plumbing, and architectural teams to ensure models are clash-free, compliant with standards, and aligned with project requirements.
This role is ideal for someone with strong technical expertise in BIM tools, particularly Revit MEP, and a keen eye for detail in design coordination.
Key Responsibilities Develop and manage detailed mechanical BIM models using Revit MEP Create coordinated 3D models and generate accurate shop drawings for construction Perform clash detection and coordination using Navisworks to resolve design conflicts Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, plumbing, and architectural disciplines Ensure adherence to BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and project-specific standards Participate in design coordination meetings and contribute to resolving technical issues Support both Indian and international MEP projects with consistent quality and accuracy Maintain model integrity, data accuracy, and version control throughout the project lifecycle What Makes You a Great Fit 3–10 years of experience in Mechanical BIM modeling within MEP projects Strong proficiency in Revit MEP (mandatory) with hands-on modeling experience Working knowledge of Navisworks and AutoCAD for coordination and drafting Solid understanding of BIM standards such as LOD and COBie Educational background in Mechanical Engineering (Diploma or Bachelor’s degree) Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high-quality models Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams Experience working on large-scale or international projects is an added advantage Ability to manage timelines and deliver outputs in a fast-paced project environment
