The Role

Are you a tech-savvy problem-solver with a passion for ensuring optimal network performance. If so, look no further – Kyndryl is seeking a Network Support Specialist who will be the go-to expert for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer networks.

Key Responsibilities

• Firewall Configuration: Assist in configuring and managing firewalls to ensure network security.
• IPS Monitoring: Monitor IPS systems to detect potential security threats.
• Rule Management: Assist in creating and managing firewall rules and policies.
• Log Analysis: Analyze logs to identify potential security incidents.
• Basic Troubleshooting: Perform basic troubleshooting of network security issues.

Required Skills and Experience

• Basic understanding of firewalls: Familiarity with firewall concepts and configurations.

  
  

• 1 to 2 years' experience

  
  

• Basic understanding of IPS: Knowledge of intrusion prevention systems and their role in network security.

  
  

• Network fundamentals: Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).

  
  

• Basic security knowledge: Familiarity with security best practices and principles.

  
  

• Qualification: Degree

  
  

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• Familiarity with firewall platforms: Knowledge of firewall platforms like Cisco ASA/FTD, Fortinet, or Check Point.

  
  

• Basic scripting skills: Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or PowerShell.

  
  

• Certifications: Relevant certifications like CompTIA Security+ or Cisco CCNA security are added advantage
