We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President – Chief Operating Office.
In this role, you will:
- The purpose of this role is to support and manage MSS business requirements globally. Within MSS, the Cost/Investment and Governance function supports MSS Management (Business) in enabling effective review of the total Business costs (Direct/Indirect). Track, monitor and report Actuals at functions/Project level, efficiencies and saves for the businesses
- Role also encompasses strategic support & improvement along with governance, reporting, administration and escalation for MSS. Produce analysis and MI to support key messages and required actions around cost discipline and investment governance. The role is tasked with driving the Strategic initiatives combined with Execution and Transformation projects covering multiple asset classes supporting both local & onshore teams.
- Review, discuss & agree on new business strategy, strategic initiatives or platforms, including aligning. department and support groups viz., Finance, Tech, Ops, Legal, Compliance, etc. Be involved in strategic discussions and decision-making with the senior management teams
- Responsible for helping the business execute initiatives mainly focused on revenue growth, cost reduction, risk reduction and/or consolidation. Partner with the business, Operations and Technology in the definition of future workflows and
implementation of related technology and infrastructure projects to prepare the business to meet the requirements of an ever evolving market structure.
- To create a close working relationship with the Business heads and the management team in order to support and carry out delegated tasks independently.
Work with the business managers on Finance Resource Plan (FRP) for all Regions and also on monthly/quarterly forecast basis WFP submission and in line with GBM guidance.
- Work Force Plan analysis across MSS Programmes and challenge contents as may be necessary. To proactively and independently identify, analyze, present succinctly issues impacting the business and implement solutions. Ensure accuracy and completeness in the Inter-Company invoicing and recovery where applicable and any other Recovery/Recharge as relevant
- Expertise in Data analysis, Stakeholder Management, Business Transformation and Process redesign and to co-ordinate the use of technology to increase operating efficiency with programming tools like Python, SQL and dashboards such as QlikSense, etc.
To be successful you will:
- Professional qualification in Finance, Management Information and Cost management. Proven data management and MI production experience in a complex Business environment. Ability to work with different data sets and large volume of data for analysis.
- Ability to understand a dynamic and diverse cost base whilst also reporting on a broad portfolio of investments. Requirement to track and report on progress. Proven ability to build relationships by communicating, influencing and negotiating effectively with senior stakeholders, within both MSS Business and Finance.
- Establish and maintain effective relationship with business partners to stay close to financial reporting requirements, identify areas of reporting improvement. Ensure that customer propositions or business improvement Programmes demonstrate clear, measurable, worthwhile benefits over short, medium and long term.
- Leads and facilitates change, understanding and applying change methodologies to communicate about, prepare for and implement change successfully. Ensure risk policies and governance framework are appropriately implemented in their part of the business. Communicate changes in policy and governance and reinforce risk processes in the way their teams work
- Establish and maintains an environment where risk is routinely anticipated, acknowledged, identified, quantified and acted upon in a timely and efficient way. The jobholder will ensure the fair treatment of our customers is at the heart of everything we do, both personally and as an organization. - Overall experience of 8+ years in financial services industry in the area of financial planning, analysis and management reporting. Exposure to BI Tools (understanding and hands on working) is essential but not mandatory. Analytical skills – proven interpretation and utilization of management information to optimize costs and resource planning
- Ability to prioritize the workload effectively in line with business priorities. Ability to manage large scale restructure and org design models wherever appropriate. The profile of management reporting has increased with both executive demands for information and the level of scrutiny, driving the challenge of developing relevant, actionable MI.
- Influencing and persuasion skills are required to articulate the key messages. This is a individual contributor role working with multiple stakeholders across the globe. Interacting with multiple COO, Global Function teams across the globe to establish a successful and robust way of query resolution and exchange information.
