Architect-Core Java Backend(Kubernetes)

About this opportunity:

At Ericsson, We are looking for a highly skilled Backend Architect with deep expertise in Core Java and modern cloud-native technologies, particularly Kubernetes. This role involves designing and building scalable, resilient backend systems while driving architectural decisions and best practices across engineering teams.

What you will do:
Define and drive the overall backend architecture for large-scale, distributed systems
Design and develop high-performance, low-latency applications using Core Java
Architect and implement microservices-based solutions
Lead the adoption of containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes
Ensure system scalability, reliability, security, and observability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, DevOps, and frontend teams
Establish coding standards, design patterns, and best practices
Perform code reviews and technical mentoring for engineering teams
Evaluate and integrate new tools, technologies, and frameworks
Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong expertise in Core Java (Java 8/11/17+)
Proven experience in designing distributed systems and microservices architectures
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerization (Docker)
Solid understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and performance tuning
Experience with RESTful APIs and backend frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot)
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Strong understanding of database design (SQL and NoSQL)
Familiarity with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)
Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills
