In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

As an Application Architect specializing in SAP HANA Application Security, you will design and implement SAP HANA application security designs, configurations, and related policies and procedures in support of large SAP implementations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, secure, and compliant SAP HANA solutions that meet business requirements and exceed customer expectations. Your primary responsibilities will include: * Lead Client-Facing Architecture: Perform as a lead architect in client-facing roles, providing expert guidance on SAP HANA application security best practices and delivering tailored solutions to meet client needs. * Conduct Security Assessments: Conduct thorough security assessments and risk analyses for SAP HANA applications, identifying vulnerabilities and developing mitigation strategies to ensure the security and integrity of sensitive data. * Design Secure Architectures: Design and implement secure SAP HANA architectures, including data encryption and access controls, to protect against unauthorized access and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. * Implement Security Features: Design and implement SAP HANA security features, including authentication, authorization, and auditing, to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive data. * Stay Current with Best Practices: Stay up-to-date with the latest SAP HANA security features, trends, and best practices, applying this knowledge to continuously improve the security posture of client solutions.

Required technical and professional expertise

* Deep Expertise in SAP HANA Application Security: Proven experience in designing and implementing SAP HANA application security designs, configurations, and related policies and procedures in support of large SAP implementations. * Experience with SAP Security Requirements Gathering: Skilled in gathering security requirements and conducting thorough security assessments and risk analyses for SAP HANA applications, identifying vulnerabilities and developing mitigation strategies. * Proficiency in Secure SAP HANA Architectures: Experienced in designing and implementing secure SAP HANA architectures, including data encryption and access controls, to protect against unauthorized access and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. * Knowledge of SAP HANA Security Features: Well-versed in designing and implementing SAP HANA security features, including authentication, authorization, and auditing, to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive data. * Familiarity with Data Masking and Anonymization: Experienced in implementing data masking and anonymization techniques to protect sensitive data in SAP HANA applications.

Preferred technical and professional experience

* Advanced SAP HANA Knowledge: Deep understanding of SAP HANA application security, including data encryption, access controls, authentication, authorization, and auditing. Familiarity with the latest SAP HANA security features, trends, and best practices. * Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, secure, and compliant SAP HANA solutions that meet business requirements and exceed customer expectations. * Industry-Specific Security Expertise: Knowledge of industry-specific security regulations and standards, such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS, and experience implementing compliant SAP HANA solutions.
