This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 10000000 - Rs 20000000 (ie INR 100-200 LPA) Min Experience: 9 years Location: India JobType: full-time We are seeking a highly experienced AI Architect to lead the design and development of scalable, enterprise-grade AI solutions while driving engineering excellence across teams.
This role sits at the intersection of advanced AI architecture and engineering leadership, requiring a strong background as an Engineering Manager combined with deep expertise in AI/ML systems.
You will be responsible for defining the AI vision, building robust architectures, and guiding teams in delivering high-performance, secure, and production-ready AI platforms.
In addition to technical leadership, you will play a strategic role in aligning AI capabilities with business objectives and enabling innovation at scale across the organization.
Key Responsibilities Define and drive the overall AI architecture strategy, ensuring scalability, performance, and security Lead the design and implementation of AI/ML systems, including model development, deployment, and lifecycle management Manage and mentor engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement Translate business requirements into technical AI solutions and architecture roadmaps Establish best practices for AI engineering, including model governance, data pipelines, and system reliability Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, data, and business stakeholders Drive adoption of modern AI frameworks, tools, and cloud-native architectures Ensure systems are production-ready with strong monitoring, observability, and performance optimization Contribute to pre-sales discussions, solutioning, and client engagements where required Stay updated with emerging AI trends and incorporate relevant advancements into the platform strategy What Makes You a Great Fit 9+ years of experience in software engineering, with significant exposure to AI/ML systems Proven experience as an Engineering Manager leading high-performing technical teams Strong expertise in designing and deploying scalable AI architectures in production environments Hands-on experience with programming languages such as Python and AI frameworks Deep understanding of cloud platforms and distributed systems Ability to balance technical depth with strategic thinking and business alignment Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in complex environments Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities Exposure to client-facing roles, solutioning, or pre-sales (good to have) Passion for innovation and driving AI adoption across products and platforms
