About the RoleWe're looking for a seasoned GM to lead the next phase of expansion for our Web3 tools and aggregators. You'll own the full growth mandate, from ecosystem partnerships to acquisition and community-driven growth. This is a senior, cross-functional leadership role for someone who can think in systems, move fast, and execute at every layer of the funnel.
What You'll OwnBusiness expansion
- Define and execute a holistic growth strategy to meaningfully expand the user base of OKX Web3 products, with a clear focus on outcompeting key rivals in key markets outside of Hong Kong
- Identify and prioritize growth levers across the Web3 ecosystem in multi-facted ways, with references to competitors' products, distribution strategy, and community
- Set OKRs, own the growth P&L, and report directly to senior leadership
- Work closely with legal, compliance, and risk teams in designing business expansion plans (e.g. partnerships and regional campaigns) with compliance boundaries in mind across key markets outside of Hong Kong
Web3 Partnerships
- Build strategic partnerships and relationships with key players in the ecosystem including crypto influencers, and community leaders across global markets (CT, Telegram, Discord, regional communities), market makers, and liquidity providers
- Identify and onboard key Web3 partners ahead of competitors with exclusive collaboration opportunities, building a network of ambassadors and global growth leads
- Design and run community-driven campaigns, trading competitions, and referral programs that convert engagement into sustained volume
- Work closely with product and engineering teams to translate market insights into structural advantages
Cross-functional Leadership
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to align growth initiatives with platform capabilities
- Lead and develop an existing team, raising the bar on execution quality and output velocity
- Synthesize market intelligence to inform product roadmap and competitive positioning
- Define team OKRs and performance benchmarks tied directly to metrics of user activities
Who You Are
- 5–10+ years of experience in market expansion roles, ideally in crypto/DeFi/CeFi, high-growth fintech or traditional finance working with high-volume tradings and professional trading desks; experiences with markets such as US, Korea, Southeast Asia, Middle East, are preferred
- Deep understanding of DEX/DeFi mechanics: AMMs, order books, liquidity pools, token incentives, on-chain trading behaviorStrong existing networks within the crypto trading and community ecosystem — you can make calls that others can't
- Experienced in building and developing strategic partnerships with key ecosystem players including on-chain power users and institutional players
- Demonstrated ability to lead both B2B and B2C growth tracks simultaneously, balancing institutional partnership development with community-driven retail acquisition
- Experience structuring incentive programs and measuring their ROI against Business impact
- Familiar with compliance considerations across multiple jurisdictions and ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams in product design
- Data-driven and analytically rigorous: fluent in growth metrics, funnel analytics, and on-chain data interpretation; able to independently query and analyze on-chain data (Dune, Nansen, Token Terminal, etc.) to drive growth decisions — this is a hard requirement, not a nice-to-have
- Fluent in both English and Chinese (Mandarin); able to operate effectively across English-speaking and Chinese-speaking markets and communities
- Excellent communicator, able to negotiate with sophisticated counterparties and energize communities equally well
- Comfortable being both a strategic thinker and a hands-on operator; you don't wait for a team to execute
Nice to Have
- Prior experience at a top-tier Web3 platforms, CEX, or DeFi protocol
- Existing relationships with key players in the ecosystem including on-chain power users and institutional parnters
- Experience running multi-region coverage
- Familiarity with competing Web3 products
