This role is open to candidates based in LATAM, Africa, and Eastern Europe. Please note that as this role supports U.S.-based clients, candidates must be available to work during U.S. business hours aligned with the client’s time zone.

Our client is a growing eCommerce company focused on delivering a strong online shopping experience through a high-performing Shopify storefront. They are looking for a Shopify Developer to support ongoing site optimization, storefront management, and functionality improvements while also helping implement AI-driven tools and automations that improve operational efficiency across the business.

Role Overview

The Shopify Developer will own and maintain the company’s Shopify storefront, supporting front-end development, theme customization, product management, website optimization, and ongoing functionality improvements. This role also includes an AI-forward component, leveraging tools like Claude Code and ChatGPT to build lightweight automations, internal tools, and workflow enhancements that improve eCommerce operations and team productivity.

Key ResponsibilitiesShopify Development & Management

• Own and maintain the Shopify store, including front-end development, theme customization, site performance, and ongoing functionality improvements.

  
  

• Ensure the website is consistently updated and functioning properly.

  
  

• Troubleshoot and resolve front-end or Shopify-related issues quickly and efficiently.

  
  

• Monitor and optimize storefront performance and overall shopping experience.

  
  

Product Listings & Storefront Updates

• Ensure products are properly displayed with accurate descriptions, images, variants, and pricing.

  
  

• Support product setup and updates while ensuring products are optimized for searchability and customer experience.

  
  

• Implement and update website banners, promotional sections, and collections within Shopify.

  
  

• Manage featured products and storefront updates to maintain a polished shopping experience.

  
  

Product Imagery Optimization

• Ensure product imagery is properly formatted, optimized, and displayed correctly across desktop and mobile devices.

  
  

Shopify Apps & Integrations

• Implement and manage Shopify apps, integrations, and functionality enhancements as needed.

  
  

• Support integrations and workflow improvements across the eCommerce ecosystem.

  
  

AI Tools & Automation

• Support the development of simple eCommerce tools, dashboards, or workflows that improve team productivity.

  
  

• Use tools such as Claude or ChatGPT to build lightweight automations and internal tools.

  
  

• Identify manual workflows and implement efficient, scalable solutions.

  
  

QualificationsExperience

• 3+ years of experience with Shopify development and eCommerce websites.

  
  

• Experience with Shopify theme customization and front-end updates.

  
  

• Experience with Claude Code.

  
  

• Experience implementing Shopify apps and integrations.

  
  

• Ability to build or assist with basic automations, scripts, or AI-assisted tools.

  
  

Skills

• Familiarity with Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.

  
  

• Strong understanding of Shopify storefront management, website optimization, and eCommerce workflows.

  
  

• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

  
  

• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
