Today, we are recruiting for an Overhead Catenary System (OCS) Technical Manager to join our team in Egypt. Lead and manage the technical design and engineering activities of the Overhead Catenary System (OCS) within the Egypt High Speed Project, ensuring compliance with project timelines, quality standards, and contractual requirements. Coordinate and align technical interfaces between the local project team in Egypt and offshore engineering/delivery teams, ensuring efficient communication and seamless information flow. Oversee the development, review, and validation of OCS design packages and engineering documentation, ensuring adherence to applicable standards and specifications. Evaluate and verify technical input data for OCS design, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and proper utilization throughout the project lifecycle. Plan, monitor, and manage OCS design deliverables, ensuring timely execution and alignment with project milestones and material allocation strategies. Act as the primary technical interface for OCS-related topics, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth design progression and integration. Manage technical interfaces between OCS and other subsystems (e.g., civil works, power supply), ensuring proper integration and timely resolution of interface issues. Provide technical support and expertise to the local project team, contributing to effective problem-solving and maintaining high-quality engineering outputs. Monitor and report the progress of OCS design activities, ensuring alignment with schedule, quality targets, and project objectives. Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks and opportunities related to OCS design, safeguarding project delivery and performance. What do I need to qualify for this job? Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline Strong knowledge of railway electrification systems, particularly Overhead Catenary Systems (OCS) Solid understanding of engineering design processes, standards, and specifications Hands-on experience in: OCS design and engineering within railway or infrastructure projects Managing engineering documentation and design deliverables Coordinating with multidisciplinary and international (offshore) teams Interface management across complex infrastructure systems Minimum of 5–8 years of relevant professional experience in railway electrification or similar large-scale infrastructure projects Strong in Technical coordination, stakeholder management, Communication and collaboration across multicultural teams Having Problem-solving and analytical thinking skills. Good in planning, organization, and time management Experience in high-speed rail projects is advantageous Familiarity with international railway standards and Siemens processes Experience working in large-scale international projects or joint ventures.
