Job Description:
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Microbiology Chemist to join our quality control team in Borg El Arab, Alexandria. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting microbiological testing and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards across all production stages.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform microbiological analysis on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
Monitor environmental hygiene in production and lab areas.
Conduct routine sterility, pathogen detection, and microbial limit tests.
Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO, and other quality standards.
Document and report test results accurately and promptly.
Calibrate and maintain microbiology lab equipment.
Support investigations in case of contamination or non-conformance.
Coordinate with production and quality teams to maintain product safety.
Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related scientific field.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in microbiological testing, preferably in FMCG, food, or pharmaceutical industries.
Solid knowledge of laboratory techniques, standards, and documentation.
Familiarity with ISO 17025, GMP, or HACCP is a plus.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Residents of Alexandria/Borg El Arab are preferred.
