Manager, Treasury & Capital Markets.

Effective Management of the Treasury & Capital Markets Operations department & centralized payments & Remittances department in relation to business line activities , while having the required knowledge and ability to cover all operational needs for any future expansion of activities.While ensuring timely processing, settlements and accounting of FX , MM , Derivatives, Custody Activities & Capital Markets various products entries ( local & overseas ) , should also follow bank's internal operational policies & procedures to ensure applying adequate control on the dealing room trading activities and monitor any market risk or credit risk, highlighting and escalating any deviation from authorized limits.

• FX and MM operations:

• Monitoring and ensuring that all FX & MM deals are within the approved limits are getting checked, settled and accounted on time.

• Monitoring and ensuring that all proprietary deals are within the approved dealing limits and stop loss limits.

• Valuation of all FX and Proprietary deals and reporting of excesses.

• Monitoring of FX/MM dealing and settlement limits and ensuring adequate approvals are in place for all excesses capital Market:

• Monitoring and ensuring that all Capital Markets deals are in line with the investment policies and Guidelines of the bank and CBE.

• Ensuring that all documents related to investments are in place.

• Ensure that settlements and accounting of all Capital Market deals are done properly.

• Ensuring that deal confirmations are received and checked.

• Ensuring all investments are valued properly and recorded.

• Ensuring custodian statements are reconciled and discrepancy reported.

• Ensuring periodic coupons & redemption proceeds are collected on proper value dates.

• Corporate Deals:

• Monitoring and ensuring that all corporate deals are within approved limits and compliant with bank's procedures and CBE regulations.

• Ensuring the processing of corporate deals on value dates.

• Ensuring that all corporate deal documentation & confirmations are received and checked.

• Ensuring periodic coupons, redemption proceeds are paid to the customers on proper value dates.

• Derivative Deals:

• Monitoring and ensuring all derivative deals are done as per the policies and Guidelines of the Bank.

• Periodical Valuation of Derivatives and reporting Settlement and Accounting of Derivatives as per IAS 39.

• Multiple Exchange:

• Must be conversant with the rules and operational regulations of all exchanges operating in Egypt.

• Must be able to establish procedures and processes for all Treasury products dealt in these exchanges.

• Must be able to setup procedures and processes for payments flow in accordance with MANSHREQ and standards rules.

• Centralized Payments :

• Ensuring proper executions of all centralized payments transactions Inward/outward remittances, charges, refunds and issuance / encashment of demand drafts and match customers' requests.

• Ensuring the checking processes of customer's requests/applications are compiled with bank's procedures.

• Monitoring & checking any claims rose by customers & correspondents and ensure sorting it out in line with bank's policy.

• Monitoring Swift platform and check end of day status for parked messages in authorization & Modifications tabs.

• Monitoring OFAC hits and ensures abidance with compliance guide tool/procedures.

• Ensure the FX customers' transactions are processed customers' requests and TCM exchange rate confirmation.

• Ensuring all payments process is compatible with Currencies holiday calendar & cut off time.

• Ensuring proper setup of customers standing instructions.

• Identify bugs / flaws and propose improvements in operating system and procedure to enhance efficiency and reduce manual interventions.

• Ensuring proper testing for technology UATs and upgrades.

• Ensuring proper training to all staff and clear knowledge transparency to enable efficiently performance and preparation for further career advancement.

• Ensure proper & accuracy timely manner reporting to regulators and HO

• Ensuring abiding with CBE technology systems which smooth funds movements ( salaries , loan portions etc… )

• Managing any swift projects updates with all stakeholders over Mashreq group or International Swift Authory updates.

• Sustaining high engagement with business lines to check the possibility of enhance the services for more advanced levels.

• Custody Activities

• managing and monitoring the setup & flow of the operational cycle :

• Customers' portfolio in Egyptian treasury bills Buying/ Selling process /Trades confirmations / Statements.

• EFSA (Egyptian Financial & Supervisory Authority) pledge declaration.

• Corporate actions: Banks'/Customers Portfolios in EURO Bonds / Foreign Securities Buying/ Selling process Trades confirmations / Statements: Corporate actions (cash dividends, stock split, partially/fully redemption etc…)

• Facilities VS Customers' Treasury Bills Portfolio as a collateral

• Taking over pledging process on banks records

• Follow corporate actions / liquidation.

• Earmark cash considerations for renewing process

• Coordination with BL.

• CBE Mortgage Finance VS Egypt Treasury Bills

• Pledge Treasury Bills with CBE from bank portfolio though REPO transactions.

• Follow up with CBE upon Maturities / accruals flow

• Middle Office Activities:

• Reconciling Daily Foreign Exchange Position and ensuring that it is within the bank's and CBE approved Limits without breaching.

• Monitoring Capital Market Investment Limit Exposure and ensuring that it is within the bank's and CBE approved Limits without breaching.

• Monitoring Money Market Limits (Working within the CA approved Limits without breaching)

• Monitoring FX Limits (Working within the CA approved Limits without breaching)

• Reviewing The Rates Entered on core banking system (Ensure that there is No discrepancies)

• Monitoring local Currency payments on RTGS CBE System, and managing its schedule.

• Arrange with Technology and ensure proper upload on core system with the international holidays Calendrer for all currencies to ensure proper booking of Treasury products.

• Monitoring FX Daily P&L (P&L calculations matching with Treasury Front Office Trading Sheet).

• Monitoring Fixed Income daily P&L calculation.

• Trading Market Unit daily reconciliation /Treasury Bonds Limits Daily Reconciliation

• Weekly T. Bonds and T. Bills reconciliation (Ensure that there are no differences between TFO & system.)

• Monitor & Review the daily/Monthly MTM Fixed Income reports , stop loss and differential Nii

• Others:

• Having technical understanding of all treasury products to ensure proper recording and highlighting risk. Should also be familiar with valuation techniques of all derivative products.

• Overall supervision of treasury Operations.

• Coordinate with technology for the upgrading and other IT related issues.

• Reviewing and identifying the training requirement of staff and advising training department.

• Coordinate with Country Operation's Manager & HR to restructure and improve the TOC department to be compatible with TOC HO.

• Reporting of daily, weekly and monthly profit and loss on Treasury activities.

• Submission of Egypt Central Bank Returns.

• Liaise with CBE and MOF in issues directly related to his job .

• Reviewing and updating of Policies and Procedures.

• Customer centric approach for all TOC related process / activities.

• Ensure the preparation of all reports needed by the TCM is done in time.

• Holding and filling of all important docs related to the function and TCM

• Ensure issuance of annual End of Year Certifications over swift to / from Counterparties ( local & international banks )

• Ensure Proper Implementation of OPM, APPM, SOP.

• Ensure Proper executions and abidance with regulatory regulations to ensure that activities are carried out as per approved policies and procedures.

• Ensure abiding and execution CBE/AFCG/AUDIT recommendations and comments based on required target dates

• Graduate in any discipline.

• 12-15 years relevant experience in Treasury Operations.

• Must have technical understanding of all treasury products to ensure proper recording and highlighting of risk. Should also be familiar with valuation techniques of all derivative products.

• Computer knowledge.

• Good command of spoken and written English.

• Good interpersonal skills and leadership qualities.

• Strong managerial, organizational & reporting skills.
