Key Responsibilities:


  • Estimate: Input study, generation of RFI’s, estimation of Integrated Smart city offerings including but not limited to Building Management systems, ELV Systems, Security, Fire, ICT, Integrated platform, MIS, Command and control, Cabling etc. 
  • Develop comprehensive technical proposals that clearly articulate tailored solutions based on client RFP specifications and business needs. Analyze technical feasibility, ensure alignment with best practices, and highlight innovation and added value.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, Vendors to formulate financially sound proposals. Conduct cost-benefit analysis, define pricing strategies, and ensure competitiveness while protecting profitability.
  • Be a trusted advisor—engage with clients to understand their business goals and recommend impactful solutions.
  • Present technical and financial solutions clearly to diverse stakeholders.

Key Deliverables


  • Proposals- Studying specifications and arrive at inclusion/ exclusion list, technical qualifications/ assumptions/ deviations.
  • Identifying number of Use Cases as per RFP document
  • Preparation of ICT sizing or Compute requirement for Smart City Platform and Sub-Systems
  • Technical BOQ in line RFP document 
  • Technical Deliverables- Preparation of system architecture for Smart City Platform showing the integration with various sub-systems and Scope, specification compliance etc. as per regional requirements, 
  • Commercial exposure - Vendor management, taxations.
  • Sound Knowledge of business processes and systems.
  • Provide competitive insight from past opportunities and apply "lessons learned" to the assigned opportunities to generate effective counter strategies. Take Lead Role in Design & Estimation of all System Proposals that get approved to bid any other emergency bids. 
  • Should be able to size & select the Servers and Storages along with needed Calculations.
  • Ability to propose secure LAN, WAN, VPNs for the Hardware deployed at one site or across cluster of buildings in one location or different cities.
  • Prepare and Use the TPD (Technical Proposal Document) for all Bids in close liaison with Bid Manager. 
  • Work closely with the pre-sales team members to gather the required information on time and manage the proposal output as a mini project during the pre-sales cycle. 
  • Manage relationship with potential & existing clients to be able to shorten the bid proposal time plan while maintaining quality measures set by Honeywell. 
  • Apply good understanding of project’ deployment, engineering/estimation processes and strong market’ awareness and cultural influence, to be able to guide the team members on prioritization. 
  • Work closely with sales & business development teams in understanding and assessing customers’ requirements. 
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision & release Quality Bid deliverables.
  • You should be able to interact with internal/external clients and present the professional image of Honeywell.
  • Work in close liaison with Technical Review Team to obtain all necessary internal approvals for bidding. 
  • Work closely with the Project Operations Team and obtain inputs for enhancing the proposed solutions.
  • Reviewing scope for all opportunities and proposals and deliver on technical compliance statements.
  • Selecting the proper combination of hardware, software, equipment, materials, and services that will deliver the highest value to the customer while supporting overall Honeywell business objectives. 
  • Must have the ability to multitask and produce desired results in a deadline driven environment. Proposals include technical scope, commercial estimates, deliverables, schedules and terms and conditions and other variables to meet customer requests and expectations. All proposal work must be completed according to Honeywell professional standards.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field in a pre-sales or technical sales role within the software industry. Smart City Domain is an advantage.
  • Work experience in relevant field – Min 3-5 years.
  • Understanding various Smart City Architecture Layers - Sensor layer, Network Layer, IoT/AI platforms, application layer, adoption layer, data integration, cloud services, and interoperable urban systems (transport, utilities, safety, and energy).
  • Understanding various analytical, digital transformation, software enterprise solutions, and Integration requirements in Smart cities. 
  • Proven ability to translate complex software solutions into business value: validating end‑to‑end technical solutions, demos, and architecture aligned with customer and city stakeholder requirements.
  • Experience in software licensing modelsincluding subscription, usage‑based, and enterprise agreements, ensuring compliance while maximizing customer value and deal flexibility.
  • Exposure to CCTV, ACS, Fire Alarm, Acoustic Simulation and other ELV Systems.
  • Working hours’ flexibility to meet deadlines.
  • Pre-sales process knowledge.
  • Ability to manage jobs and/ or projects to standards, budgets.
  • Value engineered approach in all the deliverables.
  • MS office (Excel & word) competency.
  • Pre-sales process knowledge
  • Strong numerical aptitude and proficiency with Excel/ word
  • Good communication, both verbal and written (English).
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders from different geographic regions in multiple time zones
  • Balance in speed & accuracy to meet timelines
  • Exposure to design & estimation for Building management system and complete ELV Solutions
