Responsibilities:

• Oversee the administration of SAP HANA, SAP ASE, and Oracle databases, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and reliability. 
• Monitor database performance metrics and troubleshoot issues to enhance system efficiency. 
• Develop and enforce database security policies to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry and internal company standards. 
• Develop and implement backup and recovery and high availability scenario and strategies for SAP System Databases 
• Work closely with SAP application teams and other stakeholders to align database management strategies with business needs. 
• Participate in project planning and implementation efforts related to database upgrades, migrations, and new deployments. 
• Analyze database usage trends and forecast future capacity requirements to ensure scalability. 
• Optimize database configurations and queries to improve performance and reduce resource consumption. 
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, procedures, and policies. 

Required skills and Experience: 

• 10+ years of knowledge and experience in Database administration 
• Strong understanding of database architecture, design, and performance tuning. 
• Proficiency in SQL, database backup/recovery, and performance monitoring tools. 
• Experience with database security best practices and compliance regulations. 
• Experience with various tools like HANA cockpit, OEM, SQL developer etc. 
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) for automation tasks. 
• University-level degree in IT or a related field. 
• Work experience in an international environment. 
• Good communication skills and previous experience communicating with senior management stakeholders
