More and more companies are starting to care for the environment, and this is one area to which we can all contribute. Can you get your company to recycle paper? To use less electricity or water? A green lifestyle is favored by 96% of professionals in the Middle East, according to a recent poll conducted by Bayt.com. The poll entitled ‘Green Workplaces in the Middle East and North Africa’ sheds light on the importance of going green both at home and in the office. Luckily, professionals in the Middle East are fully aware of the impact going green has on their life in the short- and long-run. In fact, the poll’s results show that MENA professionals realize the importance of preserving the environment in an age of consumerism and resource depletion. Some of the poll’s highlights: • 71% say their company uses energy-efficient lighting in their offices. • 43% say their workplace provides them with a recycling box. • 49% say their workplace encourages them to go paperless and use online resources.
