Bayt.com Survey: Employee Loyalty in the MENA 2024

Employee loyalty involves several aspects beyond simply retaining an employee; and it plays a vital role with the employee’s productivity, job satisfaction, commitment, and work ethic. It is vital that we understand how loyal employees are, particularly in the MENA region, and understand whether employers are taking any action to retain their employees’ loyalty. Moreover, it is important to note what makes employees loyal to their respective company and what may potentially cause them to feel disconnected.

Bayt.com has conducted the “Employee Loyalty in the MENA” survey to explore the factors that strengthen or weaken the bond between employees and their employers.

Key Findings:

  • 55% of the employees have been working with their current company for 4 years or more.
  • Nearly 3 in 5 of the current employees are satisfied with their current employers.
  • 54% of employees would recommend their company as a good workplace to others and 68% of employees feel proud when talking about their company’s products and services.
  • Basic salary (54%), employee-job fit (36%) and additional benefits offered by the company (32%) are the top 3 factors perceived to impact employee loyalty the most.
  • Better work quality (74%), going the extra mile (67%) and better word of mouth (65%) are some of the top perceived benefits of employee loyalty.

Data for the Employe Loyalty in the MENA survey was collected online from 6th – 14th June 2024. The results are based on a sample of 862 respondents from countries including UAE, KSA, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Palestine, Syria, Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, and Sudan, among others.
