What are the most attractive industries to job seekers in the MENA region? Are professionals satisfied with their current jobs? What about the industries which are perceived to hire the highest proportion of fresh graduates in 2023?

Bayt.com has recently conducted the ‘Top Industries in the MENA 2023 Survey’ in order to provide job seekers with useful and valuable information to help them make more informed decisions.

Key Findings:

• Most job seekers are interested in working in Banking/Finance/Accounting (9%), Advertising/Marketing/Public Relations and Business Consultancy/Business Management (both at 7%).
• 55% of the MENA residents are satisfied with their working hours.
• Nearly 6 in 10 professionals (58%) are considering an industry change in the next few months.
• Better salary (63%) is the top reason for considering an industry change, while better career growth follows at 38%.
• 33% of the respondents believe that Oil, Gas & Petrochemicals is the industry which offers the best salary packages.

Data for the Top Industries in the Middle East and North Africa survey was collected online from 18 January to 3 February, 2023. Results are based on a sample of 1,764 respondents from the following countries: UAE, KSA, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Palestine, Syria, Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Sudan, and others.
